Rep. Don Manzullo just finished his remarks to thunderous applause:
“Tell your congressman- we don’t want you back home. We want you in Washington. This could be America’s greatest hour. Insist that we come back to vote.”
Also from Rep. Wally Herger (R-CA):
“We deserve better. We deserve a debate! We deserve a vote on the House floor!”
The Republican Cloakroom has a running list of all the members that are participating today.

To whom it may concern:
I represent a group of women who are against the bailout of wall street. We understand that our pensions will be gone please dont lie to us any more our pensions are gone no matter what you do. and dont threaten us with we can get a loan. we dont want one we are having problems now. and dont tell us we will have to buy everything on a credit card. if we dont have cash we wont buy it. also if congress wants to hit the fat boys, stop the rediculous 20% interest on the credit cards.
The american people will survive we are capable of hard times. we dont want wall street back end the Good Old Boy system. No more money. No golden anything. and STOP BLAIMING EVERYONE BUT YOURSELF all congress and the senate does is whime. As for Mr. Henry Paulson, he comes across as demanding money to feather he own pocket. He is working for the good old boys and its quite obvious.
No No No to any money. lets use the 700 billion to help the American people save their retirement and savings and let wall street fail.
