House GOP Urges President Obama to Defund and Break Federal Ties to ACORNPosted by GOP Leader Press Office on September 15th, 2009
Today House Republicans, led by Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH), are sending the following letter to President Obama asking him to use his authority to end all funding to and break all government ties with ACORN: Dear Mr. President: We write to you today in the wake of new reports of potentially criminal activity involving associates of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) to respectfully request that you use your authority to publicly disclose and terminate all federal funding to ACORN and its affiliates. It is evident that ACORN is incapable of using federal funds in a manner that is consistent with the law. Immediate action is necessary to ensure that no additional tax dollars are directed to ACORN. Simply put, ACORN should not receive another penny of American taxpayers’ money. Congressional pressure, coupled with the impact of recent media reports, prompted the U.S. Census Bureau on September 11 to end its partnership with ACORN. We support this decision by the Census Bureau, and believe it is vital that all other federal agencies with ties to ACORN follow the Census Bureau’s example by severing all ties to ACORN and its affiliates, whether those ties consist of partnerships or the awarding of federal funds, including federal funds distributed through state and local governments from federal block grants. This is a matter of common sense and respect for taxpayer dollars. Last year, millions of Americans were outraged to learn their tax dollars were being used to subsidize an organization linked to multiple instances of voter registration fraud and other illicit activity. An analysis of federal data by the Office of the Republican Leader determined that ACORN has received more than $53 million in direct funding from the federal government since 1994, and has likely received substantially more indirectly through states and localities that receive federal block grants. The Census Bureau has made the commendable decision to sever ties with ACORN, and it is now critical that all remaining federal entities with ties to ACORN do the same. We ask that you use your authority to ensure that all federal funding of ACORN is publicly disclosed and terminated immediately. To facilitate this effort, the Republican staff of the Oversight Committee has compiled a complete list of the corporations that form the ACORN Council, and we would be pleased to share it with you and members of your administration. We thank you for your attention to this request. This entry was posted on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 at 10:13 am and is filed under ACORN. It will be very interesting if there is any followup from the White House on this request. We have some momentum on this issue. Keep up the good work. We’re counting on you and your colleagues.

Thank you for your response to the ACORN travesty. I hope you will follow up on this request, should it become necessary. The American taxpayers need and deserve to see this matter FULLY resolved.
September 15th, 2009 at 1:05 pm
Thank you, Mr. Boehner and the entire House Republicans. ACORN is a corrupt organization and we don’t want our tax dollars funding them. We need to return to conservative values, and defunding ACORN is a definite step in the right direction.
September 15th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
No more tax dollars to these organizations without full independent audits by outside private sector auditing firms!!!

Can you tell me where we can see the complete list of the corporations that form the ACORN Council?
Thank you so very much for all you’re doing for us.
I’M A LIFELONG DEMOCRAT……NO MORE!

I applaud the GOP for your call to the President for swift and decisive action regarding ACORN. Not only do we need to remove all government funding from the organization but there should also be federal RICO investigation opened by AG Erick Holder. This is not a political issue and has nothing to do with partisanship. Rather, it is a question of how deeply corruption resides in this organization. It is a question of criminality in an organization that has been heavily funded in the past by taxpayer dollars and stands to receive much more in federal funding through stimulus dollars. Stop ACORN now. There are too many other good community organizations and non-profits deserving of funding…not this one.

Representative Boehner:
Good for you. Call on the IG of HUD for an investigation immediately. Then, walk over to Darrell Issa and thank him for his time and effort on this matter. He did a stellar job. After that, figure out who John Conyers thinks “the powers that be” are and hold them accountable. Finally, find their lobbyists and out them to the public.
Enough is certainly enough.

I agree that funding should be temporarialy stopped. An investigation should be held. If this turns out to be a problem with the organisation and not just a few individuals in the organisation then all funding should be permanantly stopped and criminal charges filed where appropriate. If it turns out to be just a few individuals in the organisation then funding should be allowed as appropriate and those individuals charged if laws were broken.

I applaud you!! The tax-payer funding to this “mob” has to be cut off immediately. This is only the first step, however. There has to be an investigation of the organization and the facilitators — even though some political careers may be ruined. We cannot let this corruption destroy our nation.
On health care — I’ve agreed with you on this. The proposed bill cannot be salvaged; there can be no framework left in place to facilitate socialized medicine.

Dear Mr. Boehner,
I am so happy to see someone in the House of Representatives stand up to this corruption. I am making a list of people on Capital Hill who are willing to make a stand against the corruption the President brought to the White House and the corruption in Congress due to the ongoing ties to special interests like ACORN and SEIU. There is a revolution occurring in this country. Ordinary people like me want our country back; and if this continues, I predict, there will be a tax revolt. Speaking of that many of us are revolted by what we see in this government.
Thank you for standing up against the destruction of our Republic, and I hope you will help return our government to “government of the people, by the people, and for the people” and that that government will be guided by the simple rules of the Constitution.
Sincerely,
Madeleine Mead
P.S. No more bills that are too complicated to read. The Constitution founded our country and anyone can read it why should the law be unreadable.
September 15th, 2009 at 2:18 pm
John — Am so glad you have introduced this long overdue bill to form legislation to CUT THE dollar “COAL SH0OT” TO ACORN! We here in Anderson Twp , Cincinnati stand up and applaud you and the others — keep it going — we love your work — get Jean Schmidt involved, too!! Our Megan was one of Rob Portman’s interns in DC 9 years ago - she is now a broker here with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and has seen him once or twice in town.
September 15th, 2009 at 2:20 pm
This is good to read! As soon as the reports came out, all funding should have been frozen in the first place until it was investigated and if they are found guilty then they should be arrested and defunded.
September 15th, 2009 at 2:23 pm
I whole heartily agree that Acorn funds should be stopped! Our tax dollars should NOT be supporting this kind of thing at all, they should be investigated and they should be dismantled with so much corruption.
September 15th, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Congressman Boehner:
Thank you for initiating this action. Next step should be a full investigation by any and all government organizations empowered to do so. But will the Justice Department have the guts to “step up” to this task?

Share the list with the taxpayers, Mr. Boehner.
And institute an investigation into ACORN that follows its connections wherever they may lead, be it to members of Congress, the Administration, etc.
September 15th, 2009 at 2:29 pm
Thank you for getting after this corrupt despicable Acorn organization that has been defrauding the taxpayer for years. Not another dime of taxpayer money, and the top organizers charged and jailed for years of fraud and theft from the American taxpayer.
Thanks … keep at it.

Congressman Boehner,
Thank you for taking this action, and please follow through with it. I have watched ACORN conduct themselves poorly for over 10 years, starting back when I worked at a bank in California and witnessed their unethical actions up close and personally.
Their illegal actions are wide spread and well known, yet for some reason seem to go unpunished and ignored.
As a law abiding and tax paying citizen, I fully expect all our tax dollars and benefits to immediately stop going to ACORN in any way/shape/form.
Thank you,
Clay

Acorn is one small piece of the corrutption going on in our nation. Be prepared to find some VIP’s at the top when you get there. If we, the every day citizen can figure it out, that does’t say much for the one’s who were elected to protect our country. At least this is a start and maybe more eyes will be opened now.
September 15th, 2009 at 4:21 pm
superb!
September 15th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
Thank you for taking this first step to alert the President to the desire of ordinary citizens to see the corruption foisted upon our government by this outrageous group ended.
He promised us “Change we can believe in,” but has not yet delivered on that promise. He also promised us “transparency in government,” but no, he can’t claim success there, either. However, you can take a step in that direction by publishing the “complete list of the corporations that form the ACORN Council” for all to see. I’m afraid that the President and his cronies are already very aware of the contents of the list, and of the principle individuals that run those entities, so he will not request that you “share it with” the “members of your administration.” The rest of us, however, need to know, and as recipients of taxpayer dollars, we have the right to know where our money went.
September 15th, 2009 at 4:30 pm
My hope is for “real change.” It’s time for an over-haul of elected representatives that don’t rise up and put a halt to corruption. This is a good start.
Thank you.

Congressman Boehner,
So glad to see a Republican finally stand up to them!! We The People have been hoping to see all of you step into this fight with us!! We welcome you and stand with you! We all need to keep our strength up and NEVER back down!! This fight is not over by a long shot unfortunately. All of us, together, make a force that will win. We have to win, our country and way of life are at stake!! Please keep up the fight and bring as many Republicans with us as possible. If there are any that may not be sure, you might want to let them know that their re-election is in the balance! We are sick and tired of spineless Representatives and Senators!! Now is definitely the time to stand up and fight!
THANK YOU FOR BEING STRONG FOR THIS COUNTRY!

I agree with Samantha - share the list with the taxpayers. In the form of a chart similar to the healthcare chart would be awesome. I do think we need to get some of these people, including in the upper tiers of the organizations, prosecuted and jailed. ACORN is a criminal organization.
September 15th, 2009 at 5:02 pm

Thank you so much, Mr. Boehner for your leadership in this Acorn issue. Please see that ACORN and SEIU are both independently investigated. Also, please see that the Congress comes into line with the Constitution. The fact is there are so many things you folks do that aren’t even allowed in the Constitution. This just isn’t okay. Slowingly, our government is becoming more and more corrupt.

Dear Congressman Boehner,
Although I am not in your district I fully support your efforts to defund all of ACORN. And I believe you should push for a full investigation into all their dealings surrounding the government. Please keep the pressure on; we true Americans stand behind you. And you will begin to see more of us step forward. All we are looking for is someone in the Halls of Congress to stand WITH us. To speak for us. To take the forefront of this investigation and not back down.
Thank you again for taking this first step. Please keep moving forward, we will not be deterred.
Sincerely,

September 15th, 2009 at 5:20 pm
Please publish the list mentioned above. The American people need to see it and not just the administration. I cannot believe ACORN has been going on since 1994 and nobody did anything. Why does it take so long to wake up the American people? We have had it too easy and we are “at ease in Zion”. Maybe we need to completely clean the House and the Senate and the Office of President and start over fresh with new blood with TERM LIMITS AND THEIR RAISES MUST BE VOTED ON BY THE PUBLIC NOT THE CONGRESS SETTING THEIR OWN WAGES!
September 15th, 2009 at 5:22 pm
Good work! I think the key line is this, “This is a matter of common sense and respect for taxpayer dollars.”
Common sense has been lacking in our government business - especially Federal, for a LONG time.
I hope no one gives Obama any wiggle room on this - the ACORN thing is huge - a massive cancer on American society. For what small “good” it has accomplished, the majority has been money thrown away - money that could have been directed into so many legitimate funds.
Thanks for standing up.
September 15th, 2009 at 5:23 pm

I want to thank you and those who have have sent this letter to the President. Continued destruction of AMERICAN VALUES AND MORALS MUST BE STOPPED. It is long past due that some action be taken to stop funding these corrupted organizations. Mr. Boehner,
Thank you so much for pushing to have ACORN exposed for what it is, a corrupt organization which needs it funding cut off. I dont understand why our media neglects to expose this organization. It seems that only Fox News is concerned about exposing the truth.
We all need to let our government and news media know our concern about ACORN.

September 15th, 2009 at 6:01 pm
I agree…enough is enough concerning the funding to ACORN. We, the tax payers, have seen enough of this type of waste of our money. The organization is corrupt and should be cut off from our hard earned money. The ACORN organization needs to find other meaningful ways to help the truly needy in a more productive way. They could start off by training people to be responsible hard working citizens. I’m retired from 30 years of teaching and I feel that I deserve a break for all of my years of hard working to make this a better country for the young people. I don’t believe in hand-outs for illegal immigrants and lazy people. It’s enough!
September 15th, 2009 at 6:07 pm
This is just the tip of the iceberg. The Republicans need to get off of the couch and come out swinging. That includes congress house and the senate followed by a house cleaning @ 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. We need our country back now!
September 15th, 2009 at 6:12 pm
Thank you for standing up for the American people and taxpayers against the corruption that ACORN has brought upon us. I strongly feel we are at the brink of another public uprising, or revolution of some sort to take back our country. It is absolutely time to get control our country. I will definitely be doing whatever I can in next year’s elections to gain control back.
September 15th, 2009 at 6:14 pm
Mr. Boehner;
Although I am not your constituent, I have noticed the great job you have been doing as the minority leader. Thank you so much for standing up for us in the whole country who finds the activity of ACORN disgusting and appalling. However the actions in which you have asked is not enough. I want the Senate, House, Administration; especially the attorney general to look into and and bring criminal charges to everyone involved in these actions, including any members of congress who have applauded their actions and took campaign money to look the other way. I want each state to look into and bring appropriate charges against not only ACORN but any organization which has taken our taxpayers money and misused it. As far as I am concerned it is embellishment! I will be watching to see how the votes go.

Dear Mr. Boehner,
Thank you. Please do not allow the government to pass any more bill until we get to the TOP of this ACORN and their associates corruption issue and how far it infiltrates our Federal & State governments.

Great work, keep it up; Im praying for Gods protection on you. may Gods blessings be with you
September 15th, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Congressman Boehner, I am glad to see you take action on the ACORN issue. How a corrupt organization can exist as ACORN has is beyond comprehension. How can a large number of members of Congress turn their backs on this organization and ignore the corruption? It may be time for Congress and the Administration to think back to the oath they took when they were sworn in for their office. Perhaps, it would not hurt if all would take the oath again and then repeat it every new session of Congress, whether they are a freshman or a veteran of Congress.
September 15th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
Hum…wonder what he’ll do to you…will you have to publicly apologize for speaking the truth? Very encouraging to read your letter. We, the people, have had it with the corruption in Washington and our tax dollars being POURED into organizations such as ACORN. A full scale investigation should be started immediately into any and ALL parties involved with ACORN, SEIU, etc. I’m praying daily for God to give all of you (congressmen) courage to stand up and take back our Republic. “True Americans” are behind you and will stand with you.
September 15th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
Hi with and a “Big” Thank You! for all that is and has been done to stop the corruption of ACORN. As others have stated and I agree, the next step is to have a full investigation of ACORN and its connections, wherever it may lead; bringing those found guilty accountable for the fraud and injustice to the tax payer’s of the United States of America.
September 15th, 2009 at 7:06 pm
Congressman Boehner,
The people of this great land need more leaders like you who will stand for the taxpayers rights to transparency and allow us to have our ‘family funds’,our tax dollars, returned. But it is also imperative that an investigation be made, from the head down,of that corrupt ACORN agency and it’s sister SEIU.Thank you sir.
September 15th, 2009 at 7:19 pm
Thank you so much for this baby step towards cleaning up the Government for the govt, by the govt ,and of the govt.
Now You have sworn to protect the Constitution of The United States of America, it is time to start! the house cleaning needs to start, will You pledge your Honor, Fortunes, and Sacred trust? it will cost you,as it cost us, as it cost the founding fathers!
September 15th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
Keep up the good fight congressmen. I appreciated you standing up for Mr. Wilson on the house floor. You had some very good points you were making its just too bad the rest of congress wanted to act like high schoolers. Its not helping their case to get re elected when the house speaker even says its done and over with and they want to continue the childish games. We didn’t elect our representitives to Washington so they can push their own issues and agendas its the American peoples that must and WILL be heard from this point forward.
Thank you sir,

Thanks for taking a stand for us. I am from IL and I’m sickened to learn that senators, Durbin and Burris are backing ACORN. Your letter to Obama gives us hope that our government will listen to you, wake up and admit that our country is literally corrupted and being destroyed bit by bit.
September 15th, 2009 at 8:29 pm
Thank you very much for your courage in standing up for the American people. Please continue to push for a federal investigation of ACORN, SEIU, APOLLO, and all the other linked corporations.
I wish there were more in Congress with your back bone.
Thanks again.
September 15th, 2009 at 8:35 pm
These crooks have been getting money for how long?
Geeeeeesh!! That its taken this long for Acorn to be put under the microscope is unbelievable. BUT, they have been and I’m thankful.
Now, no backing down, no matter, Sir.
I too am making a list of elected officials that I want to remember as people who showed some backbone!
Well done, Congressman Boehner, well done.
September 15th, 2009 at 8:48 pm
Thanks Mr. Boehner for sending the letter to “O”. Time will tell if he reacts positively. They have him in their back pocket. We’ll see!! Kudos to you !!

A heartfelt thank you from Texas!
Don’t stop, keep up the pressure.
September 15th, 2009 at 10:43 pm
Thank for taking a stand against this corruption. Please go the next step and insist on an investigation of the entire organization and all it’s ties to our Federal & local governments. This cancer to our country must be completely removed.
September 15th, 2009 at 11:42 pm
I just emailed Senator Gillibrand from NY I’m embarressed to say that she is my senator. I thanked her for helping the republican party win her seat back. All seven senators that voted to fund ACORN should get voted out of office. Love to here what Mr. O has to say about his former employer and his activity while he was working with our taxpayer dollars.

Dear Sir,
Thank you.
These viral organizations have taken over our American system - one can’t even trust one vote for one person.
While these people try silencing us by ‘labeling’ we are also funding our own destruction involuntarily into a taxpayer paid restructuring of Socialist America. Apollo, Tides, ACORN, SEIU; It be must stopped. Radical, extremist, marxist, and even self professed Communist Czars. It must be stopped.
Government has no business in my free choice of medical care. Invasion into my bank account, IRS returns, mandating my forced choice, and kneeling before an Effective Costs Control Rationing Board is not CARE - it’s complete lives system control. It must be stopped.
Please continue to stand up and protect Americans from those who want to ‘change’ her.
September 16th, 2009 at 12:11 am
Thank you sir for doing the right thing. Please help all you can to eliminate corruption from our Congress and uphold the U.S. Constitution as it was written. Our Constitution has set us appart and has made the U.S. the great nation that it is. We all have relatives who have given their lives to defend our Constitution so their love ones could have a better life. Please, we need strong, un-corruptable people in our government to uphold this great Constitution. What a SHAME to lose our hard fought for freedom to greedy people, and corrupt, immoral, small interest groups.
September 16th, 2009 at 1:35 am
Thank you so much for your diligence, Sir, and please share my deepest regards to Rep. Eric Cantor and Rep. Dave Camp for being on-board regarding blocking any additional funding to ACORN and affiliates. I have spent many late nights writing to my representatives hoping someone will listen. Apparently the peoples’ voices are now being heard. Unfortunately, the corruption has been going on for far too long with millions upon millions of tax-payer funded dollars! As you see the response is overwhelming regarding ACORN’s tax fraud and deceit and many will continue to monitor your progress. Please - Do Not let ACORN and affiliates fall through the cracks! This requires full and thorough investigational auditing of all the (cooked) books of EVERYONE INVOLVED! Thank you so much, Respectfully,
September 16th, 2009 at 3:23 am
My heartiest congratulations to you and those like you for standing up for America. The two brave young people that brought this to our attention should receive the civilian equivalent of the Congressional Medal Of Honor. God Bless America.
September 16th, 2009 at 7:55 am
It is about time. The only diappointing moment here is that it took a cable news network to dig up the dirt so that congress would take action. That is very disappointing that congress did not see this on their own and take such action!!
September 16th, 2009 at 9:11 am
This is why Americans are rebelling against the government. We are being taxed to death and ACORN is getting millions of our hard-earned money for this totally corrupt organization. What else is going on that we do not know about. Why should I even pay taxes? we have no representation in Washington, nobody wants to hear us, and besides that, we’re being called all kinds of names for giving our opinions. Please stop this madness now or by 2010 you will have no Democrats at all in the Senate or Congress!
September 16th, 2009 at 9:22 am
Not only ACORN, but every organization, company or corporation that has had any dealings with ACORN. Cut them all off. Let’s wipe the slate clean, now. Keep up the good work!
September 16th, 2009 at 10:02 am
Thank God for those willing to stand up for and also stand up to those that are corrupt. It is high time to put a STOP to all of this!
Acorn is nothing short of just a big nut tree that doesn’t just need trimming, it needs to be blasted out by the roots with a stick of dynamite!
September 16th, 2009 at 10:18 am
Good first step. There now needs to be a full congressionial and DOJ investigation from top to bottom along with an IRS audit and loss of their tax-exempt status.
September 16th, 2009 at 11:15 am
Thank you for not being afraid to call to arms for an immediate and thorough investigation of ACORN. This is a great place to start. Once the ball starts to roll, it will be easier for the momentum to carry it else where! Thank you, thank you!
September 16th, 2009 at 11:32 am
I just hope this isn’t the first time the Republican party has tried to do this, and if this isn’t the first time, you need to let the left-wing media know this isn’t the first time you’ve tried to get something done about ACORN…because they’ll just blame it on racism.

THANK YOU CONGRESSMAN BOEHNER
September 16th, 2009 at 12:52 pm
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
ACORN has frightened me since last summer when I first began to understand its power. I pray that brave leaders like you will continue to speak out for “WE the people..”
September 16th, 2009 at 1:08 pm
ACORN appears to be a troubled organization, but the last time I checked the Constitution it was Congress who was vested with the authority to approve funding. So sending a letter to the President is just another grandstanding effort By Mr. Boehner. If he truly wants to remedy the situation he can initiate legislation. It will be interesting to see what happens.
September 16th, 2009 at 2:16 pm
Thank you for working to shut down ACORN. Without our tax dollars they will dissolve which they should.
September 16th, 2009 at 2:43 pm
Thank you for standing up for you! You have our FULL support, Congressman. You are doing the right thing and I am so proud. The American people are behind you and will continue support as you continue to do the right thing. Thank you once again Congressman Boehner for your courage, patriotism and excellent service to the people of the United States of America, Your Country and Your Constitution.
All we need is 55 more of representitives like you to defend our Constitution and the Republic and clean up and eliminate the corrupt and the corruption in our government! We the people will vote out the unworthy in 2010 to help clean up the mess.
Please continue what you are doing along with the sincere union of all the others who hold similar beliefs true and close to their soul! Please reclaim our government back and stop this wild take over of our government by unions, progressives, czars, lobbists and community organizers.
September 17th, 2009 at 10:13 am
Thank you, Mr. Boehner, for going to bat for us. Unfortunately, this administration has no respect for us, the taxpayerrs, so why should we expect them to have any “…respect for taxpayer dollars”?
September 17th, 2009 at 3:34 pm
Thank you for taking a first step towards cleaning up our Governmentand by eliminating the funding for ACORN.
Now lets work on victory over the abusive health care, union growth bills and cap/tax initiatives. We must protect the Constitution of The United States of America, and the individual rights gained by all living under its laws.
September 17th, 2009 at 3:56 pm
Congratulations and thank you from the bottom of my heart. We Conservatives and others who want our country back are cheering all who are involved in this process. May it be the first of many.
September 17th, 2009 at 4:46 pm
Thank you (all) immensely for the Defund ACORN legislation passage and the letter to President Obama. I pray fervently for God’s guidance and your continued diligence and obedience in this and other matters (which I, myself, am relatively active in). I wonder if it would be a good idea (for you) to inform our active-duty troops of all of the political and civic stateside strides being achieved toward our continued freedom. It might be encouraging to them to know that their dedication is not in vain. Lastly, could you please e-mail me a copy of the ACORN membership list?
September 17th, 2009 at 8:57 pm
All I can say is thank you John Boehner - it’s about time something happened that means something.
I cant wait for 2010.

Dear Sr
Thank you for bringing this to the forfrount. We are so tired of our hard work going to waste in the Gov. Its too bad we couldn’t stop 150mil going to murtha for a alternate run way for a aiport that 6700 people use a yr and what was that 800thousand he got in the stimulas bill. The pres is lieing to us about how much the cap&tax is going to cost per Document from the treasury dated 9 Mar 09 generating 100 to 200 Billion $ in revenue anualy. Cost us $1761 per house hold 15% tax hike I think that is more then a postage stamp a day . How many more lies are we going to be told at the risk of being called a racist. The Domestic terrorism being perpitrated by this Gov is outrageous in the San Joaquin valley swaping a smelt for the rest of the countries food sorce and people jobs and families. Our Gov is acting reprehensible.
Well their their is lots more but that will do for know
Thanks for small miracles
See if you can get these people to spend our money better so we donot have to stop giving it to them.

I have not heard or seen the names of the sponsers of ACORN funding on House of Represenative or Senate bills. At this point, I believe it is extremely important that this information be made public. How do we get the names of the responsible legislators? Lets have full disclosure of how we got here with this ACORN issue!
September 18th, 2009 at 11:17 am
In 2000 an audit was conducted by the Massachusetts Inspector General regarding a report that refugees…non-citizens were abusing Medicare/Medicaid by having boots made at $1,000 per pair. First reports were discounted as “witchhunting” or “untrue.” At the insistence of Mass. legislators, the I.G. conducted a full scale investigation.
The report documented that over three million dollars were spent on having made made leather shoes for Russian immigrants who said their feet had been affected by Russian winters. They even used pictures of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire dancing and pointed to their shoes and said, “white in summer, brown in winter.” The scam was reported by an observant taxpayer, advanced by a legislator and the scam was uncovered.
It is clear that no public dollar should be expended by private or public agencies without proper procedures in place.
One agency in Mass. has over 10,.000 private contracts with vendors. Vendors are given millions of dollars that are spent on “services.”
The new Massachusetters Health Connector, in my opinion is responsible for the two billion dollar increase in the Medicaid account. Mass. now spend nine billion dollars in Medicaid. Over 30,000 providers are licensed to bill Mass….and they do.

Many, many thanks from our family here in Texas. God bless you all for representing those of us who are tired of the corruption and arrogance that too often goes with power. We hope and pray that we all will be blessed with the courage and fortitude we’re going to need in this fight for freedom.

Revolution is Coming to America!!
Follow the money from corporate political donations (including ACORN) & see how many of these corporations have foreigners sitting on their board of directors. So foreigners are now able to influence America’s elections.
There’s a new, underground book out that changed me to step away frm the TV & step into the streets (I drove 2,800 miles to the 9-12 DC march). Read it!! It will change you when you read how a small, American town (just like yours) stood up to Federal tyranny & started the 2nd American Revolution. It tells what is going to happen next in America.
This is the only time in your life that you can “make your history & leave a legacy for your grandchildren”!!

Congressman Boehner,
Thank you for taking this corrupt organization to the top level. Unfortunately, the president himself is an offspring of this parasitic cancer namely ACORN. Do you for one moment believe that he will actually address this issue? He has already said he did not know how much Govt. funding ACORN receives. Please dont believe this jive talk from obama. ACORN needs to be DEFUNDED not DEFENDED. This has to happen right now before any more money is given to this worthless corrupt organization.
As taxpayers we scrimp and scrounge to feed our families while ACORN officials live high on the hog, thanks to the president and his cronies namely princess pelosi and prince reid.
(I am sorry but I will not capitalize their names as I dont think its worth it)
You should also investigate into the salaries paid to these corrupt officials and make them give every dime back to the people who were robbed by these thugs.
Thank you again Congressman Boehner.

I am a lifelong Republican and more than any other time in my life I know why. It has been evident since the presidential campaign that ACORN is corrupt from top to bottom. America deserves an outside unbiased audit without any gag orders. How long will it be until Obama throws ACORN under the bus? Better yet, how long until ACORN throws Obama et al under the bus?
September 26th, 2009 at 12:42 am
ACORN getting 8.5 billion in stimulus money is a travesty.
September 27th, 2009 at 9:35 pm
With the precedent you have set with this legislation, it is high time to defund all those other lawbreaking contracts. KBR, Armored Group, Norhtrop Gruman Group and others have all defrauded us the taxpayers. Thank you Congressman for taking the point on this new wave of fiscal responsibility!
With admiration,
